DENVER -- Authorities say a man arrested in Colorado is suspected of raping 11 women in New Mexico and Texas over a 15-year span and, more recently, trying to kill a Colorado police officer.

Police in Albuquerque and Pueblo, Colo., are checking to see if 47-year-old Robert Howard Bruce, of Pueblo, might have been involved in other unsolved crimes.

Albuquerque Police Department spokesman John Walsh said Bruce was tied to the Albuquerque rapes -- which go back as far as 1991 -- after his DNA matched one case.

Walsh said police think Bruce may have committed crimes from 1991 to 2000 in Albuquerque and a 2006 rape near the University of Texas in Austin.

Love Chain Effort Set for Missing Newport Teen

CUE Center for Missing Persons continues the search for Megan Maxwell

Wilmington, NC It has been forth five days since Megan Maxwell vanished in the early morning hours of April 26, 2009 and little remains known about her disappearance other than her vehicle that was recovered burning that same morning she disappeared. Her 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse was located on U.S. Highway 25/70 by a passing off-duty officer. Megan was last seen at her fathers home on that morning after she was informed by a friend of an assault that had occurred at her fathers residence; out of concern she left home to aid him.

Megans family soon reached out to a North Carolina based non profit organization called the CUE Center for Missing Persons who has provided additional professional search resources from the area and other states; they have remained on the scene conducting daily search operations and organizing awareness campaigns for the last twenty nine days. It is vital in any missing person case that the immediate days following a disappearance that every effort is made to keep that persons story in the public eye in hopes that information will develop to aid a rapid location of the missing individual, said CUEs founder, Monica Casion. In every community, someone knows something and can offer aid to a resolution concerning the missing, she added.

To aid in another awareness campaign a Love Chain will take place beginning with registration at 4:00 pm and will begin at 5:00 pm this Thursday, June 11^th, 2009. The public in encouraged to participate and is asked to come to West End Food City located at 181 Western Plaza Way in Newport, TN 37821. The Love Chain will consist of a human chain of people, expanding the highway at the busiest time of day and holding out large posters of Megan in an effort to reach the community for information and remind the public she is still missing, said CUE Centers representative, Lori Roberts, the event organizer.

Megan is a bright nineteen year old girl who recently missed her graduation just days ago that was held at the local Cocke County High School; her classmates honored her vacancy at the ceremony by wearing yellow ribbons and speakers requested her to be remembered. Such a joyous day we all looked forward to became a day of confirmation that something is even more was wrong, said Megans mother, Lisa Maxwell. I need to find my daughter, I need her back home with us, no matter the outcome at this point, she said with overwhelming emotion.

CUE Center erected a website for Megan and can be viewed at http://www.helpfindmeganmaxwell.com , and tipsters can remain anonymous for the offering cash reward of $5,000.00 with a June 15^th deadline approaching. The ten day reward began on June 5^th in hopes that someone would come forward and lead search teams to the direct location of Megan Maxwell.

Hundreds Search Rugged Terrain for Missing California Girl

The family of a missing 14-year old California girl launched an all-out search Sunday morning that extended into the local mountains.

Hundreds of volunteers combed through rugged terrain in search for Amber LeeAnne DuBois, television news station San Diego 6 reported. DuBois was reportedly last seen shortly after 7 a.m. on Feb. 13 while walking to her high school in Escondido, Calif.

The FBI is providing investigative assistance to Escondido police, an agency spokesman told the San Diego Union Tribune on Saturday.

Investigators said Amber who was last seen wearing black clothing and a backpack talked to a friend on her cell phone as she walked to class that morning. She has not been seen or heard from since, police said.

The teen's father, Maurice DuBois, said reports of a possible sighting of his daughter Saturday were considered unreliable. He said Amber is very structured, and not the type of girl to run away.

The family is hoping that the Tour of California bicycle race which is expected to draw thousands of spectators to Escondido on Sunday will heighten public awareness and help in finding Amber.

Local media outlets reported Friday that there may have been an attempted abduction in the same area where Amber was last seen.

The family's private investigator Bill Garcia told San Diego 6 that a woman was almost abducted by a man driving a white utility vehicle in Escondido two weeks before Amber was reported missing though police have not yet determined a credible link between that case and Amber's disappearance.

Meanwhile, family members have set up a Web site with pictures and contact information for the missing girl, and are pushing for the search to go nationwide.

PALATKA - An Amber Alert has been issued for a Putnam County girl

Haleigh Cummings is 5-years-old, 3-foot-tall and weighs 39 pounds. She has blonde hair and brown eyes.

Deputies say Haleigh Cummings was last seen in the area of Hermit's Cove in Satsuma, wearing a pink shirt and underwear.

strange developments

Iwant to tell everyone what happened to me yesterday.Asyou know,I'm trying to find Robert Wylie Harris,a maninvolved with The Family religious sect who's been missing since sept.2007.
Last summer I met an italian woman who for 20 years has been a member of The Family,then escaped from the sect and started working against them in an antisect center.She was very supportive and kind to me,giving me suggestions and so on.When I told her what I was doing to find Robert she grantedme her help.A week ago,she wrote me telling me she herself had posted an ad for Robert in an exmembers forum.
Well,yesterday,unexpectedly,abruptly,the music changed.
She wrote again ,telling me that I was making too much fuss over nothing,that there was no certainty that Roberthad really disappeared and practically ordered me to drop the matter!
Now I want toask you some questions:why,if I'm making fuss over nothing,after Robert's disappearance in 2 months the chief of Renaissance Home in Mumbai and his righthand man bothered to make at least 20 threatening phone calls from India to Italy,and stopped only when I threatened to inform police and Mumbai newspapers?Why,in the same period,my mail address was violated and important messages deleted?
If Robert would have freely chosen to stop any contact with me,there wouldn't have been no need to make allthis shenanigan.
I've known TF for years and in yesterday's mail I see their hand,and afurther evidence that they are behind Robert's disappearance.

I'm still looking for Robert wylie Harris,aka Mark Ozias,involved with The Family religious sect and missing since sept 2007.
Icreated a Yahoo Group in his name,called find_robert (http//groups.yahoo.com/group/find_robert)
In it you'll find not only Robert's whole story,but informations about The Family unknown to the public (Family aliases,New Delhi SaharaCentre..)
Tf's main office in USA won't give me news and declares NOBODY with the name Mark Ozias EVER belonged to their "church" (blatant lie:Robert has been with them since nov 1 1969!).They are sure no one but me cares about him and that they can get away with his disappearance.
Istarted a campaign called A MAIL FOR ROBERT.
I invite everyone who reads my posts and visits my group to write a mail,with the subject WHERE IS MARK OZIAS?and nothing else to TF's main office (publicaffairs@thefamily.org) This way TF will realize Robert is missed and nobody vanishesin thin air.
An US pastor,an indian reverend,an italian journalist wrote themselves and persuaded others to write,and others are doing the same.
If you can,want to,feel like it,please write and make write. A single mail can make a BIG difference!Thanks

I hope you know that Rachel, as well as your whole family, has touched my family's life. We are thinking about you during this difficult time of the year. I hope that jan 10th 2009 will be the last 'anniversary' of Rachel being missing. I pray this year that God brings you closure. I am very sorry for what your family is going through. Janet was my highschool art teacher, one of the best people I have ever known, and I often think of her and her beautiful daughters. And Robert, even though we have never met, your devotion to finding your daughter, and the INCREDIBLE work you continue to do for all of the missing persons and families of the missing absolutely astounds me. You are an amazing person.

Need yr help to find a missing person.He's an US citizen,his name is ROBERT WYLIE WYLIE HARRIS,born on june 8 1949.Very tall,he weighs about 90kgs,has blue-grey eyes and grey hair (balding).Evident scar on the right side of forehead.Also known as MARK OZIAS.Last contact:sept 9 2007,via email (quite disquieting,not at all like his style).He was then living in Mumbai,where I'm sure he still is.
Mr Harris is heavily involved with a verydangerous religious sect:THE FAMILY,aka CHILDREN OF GOD.
Knowing them as I unfortunately do, I have every reason to believe them responsible of MrHarris's disappearance.I base this opionion on the fact that Mr Harris had tried many times in the past to leave and that I was trying to help him to get out.The sect's main office,PUBLIC AFFAIRS,even denied his very existence.
In this past year I've desperately trying to locate Mr Harris,to no avail.Now Iask yr help,hoping to find him and know what became of him.

I took the liberty of emailing several local news stations to explain to them how when I contacted them earlier this year, all of the responses I received back said that Michael Moore confessed and case closed.
