Rachel Alert Network will have another double booth at the 2005 Georgetown Christmas Stroll. We are in need of baked goods donations again this year. The stroll will take place on the square in Georgetown from noon until 8:00 p.m. on Saturady, December 4.
We regististered as a food booth so we only will be selling food and drinks except CDs and cookbooks. This will also keep is simplier for the volunteers to work the booth. We will have an Austin and Georgetown drop-off point for the baked goods on Friday, December 3.
People like to buy things at the stroll that are small and can be carried easily. With food items they usually eat them while they walk around. This is why we are asking for individual items in baggies. We will be selling whole cakes, pies, and loafs of bread but we perfer people give us items already divided up. Last year we tried to sell whole cakes and pies and we had to almost give them away.
If you would like to donate baked goods for the RAN bakesale please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org .
Events at the Chistmas Stroll include a parade and of course Santa will be there for the kiddies. Before and after the parade people walk around and visit the booths and stores on the square in Georgetown. It's one of the few times the stores stay open after 6:00 p.m. (remember the sidewalks usually roll up at 7:00 p.m. in a small town)
We hope to see you at the stroll!
